The Systems Associate is part of the Information Technology and Infrastructure engineering team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Servers (virtual and physical), Desktops, Laptops, Storage, and Printers, as well as advanced troubleshooting skills in macOS, Windows, and Linux environments; The Systems Associate will be the first escalation point for support within the IT Organization.

Focus will be in end user support, systems provisioning and other aspects of IT. The position will provide solutions that meet business and technical requirements, as well as the development of procedures, standards and documentation.

Your responsibilities

  • Triage and resolve helpdesk issues
  • Troubleshoot application, OS, and network issues
  • Create and update technical documentation
  • Asset management and tracking
  • Drive the development and delivery of IT security standards and best practices
  • Work independently to meet critical enterprise project deliverable timelines
  • Create practical, scalable, and secure models for internal and cloud based applications, networks, and services

Background/experience

  • Minimum requirement of bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of authentication and authorization technologies, and protocols - Directory Services, LDAP, SSO, MFA, MDM
  • Working knowledge of User Provisioning and Management frameworks; administer and maintain cloud services (Gmail, Jira, Confluence)
  • Configure internal systems (Linux, Windows, Mac OS) - hands-on knowledge of Linux (desktop & server), Microsoft Windows domains and macOS
  • Train new system users and set up their accounts
  • Ensure the smooth deployment of new applications
  • Solid understanding of LAN/WAN networks
  • Good knowledge of at least one scripting language (Python preferred)
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills
  • Team oriented, both as a team member and mentor
